    Browning Buck Mark

I'm looking to buy a Browning Buck Mark to start doing some steel shooting and maybe bullseyes shooting as well, any suggestions from those who own one? Thanks for the help!

I love mine. Im sure you will enjoy no matter what you decide in the end. The camper is a good all around one but i do wish i held out a little longer for the fiberoptic sights.

I just picked up my Browning Buckmark Camper Stainless yesterday. I never held one in my hand before ordering it online and was worried on grip feel. Well now that I’ve finally held it, I am super thrilled on how perfect it molds in my hand. I'm glad I didn't buy the aftermarket grips because the stock rubber grips feel amazing. The one minor fix I'll do right away is change the flat head stainless steel grip screws with some hex black screws to match the black grips. I'm sure I can find a replacement at your local hardware. OTD was $420.00.

It was between this gun or the Ruger MKII. The big deciding point for me was the extreme rake angle on the Ruger grip. It was extremely uncomfortable and couldn’t stand it. It has a very similar rake angle as the Glock, which is why I don’t have one. My favorite pistol is my 1911 and the Buckmark offers the same grip feel and angle. Buy it; you won’t be disappointed.

I bought a Camper SS as well. Love that thing..funny, my son did too. Now I had to let it go to him and I just bought myself a BM Contour to replace my 'loss'.

That was my plan. I was going to sling a 'cheap' Barska red dot on it from my son's airsoft arsenal just to get a feel for it.

I do plan on putting some type of red dot on it and I'm starting to think about the contour 5.5 URX or the 7.25 URX, but still am not sure.

Anyone have a recommendation for a decent holster for their Buck Mark? I'd like to take mine hiking with me sometime.

I'm looking to buy either a MK-III target with rails or a Buckmark Contour. I do want to put a red dot on it

Both seem to be much more reliable than my GSG 1911 lol

good choices. browning is accurate out of the box with a decent trigger and with the rail on top you will be ready to go.

If you plan on upgrading it, buy the most inexpensive model you can find. Then go to this web site and plunk down some $$$:

Don't go cheap on the optics (you won't be happy with the results) save a little and get some good glass that will hold its zero. The trigger on a Buckmark is already outstanding, get a good barrel and scope on it and you will be amazed at the accurracy. Mine shoots way better than me. I love bouncing around soda cans at the 50 yard line. Its almost like cheating with a scoped Buckmark.
