    Ruger 10/22 Takedown see pics

Picked up my Ruger on sale 10/22 Takedown today. Put a Simmons on sale 3X9X32 22Mag with a Detachable Scope. No charge for the installation. I told the Turners Mgr I was a Calguns member and he took off another $10.00. I won't tell you what I paid because I don't to break any rules. I can tell you everything was on SALE. See pics.

Nice. I have 7 more days to get mine.

Now, with the scope installed, will the stock/receiver half fit into the provided bag/case?

We had to use a set up that would remove the scope from the mount in order to fit both the stock and the scope in the carry bag. Don't forget if you bought it from Turners ask the mgr for the $10.00 discount.

Interesting...I'm planning on getting the Nikon Prostaff 3x9x40 with the $50 rebate for mine. I just picked it up tonight.

Are you ready to get rid of your Tiguan? I'll take it.

Picked mine up this afternoon at Turners in San Diego. (The place was packed BTW.) After handing the sale guy my paperwork he said "I was one of the lucky ones".

He said Turners sold all 700 rifles the first day, they were offered. Plus they sold another 140 that came in a few days later. He added he didn't know when they would get anymore in.

When I got home, I sealed the box back up and found a place in the safe for it.

I picked mine up today and went to OnTarget in Laguna Niguel to shoot it. I put 270 rounds through it of Federal Value bulk ammo without any problems. There was another new 10/22 TD owner there too with his.

I like it so far. I bought the Nikon 4x32 prostaff with the $50 rebate but did not mount it yet.

Man, for a takedown rifle you guys are throwing some pretty huge scopes on those

Why not go with a shotgun or handgun style scope for compactness?

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

I was also considering a 2.5x20, like on my SA M6 Scout rifle...

I got the scope I did because of the price/rebate and the fact that I can have the scope mounted and it will still fit in the Ruger bag when disassembled.

I'm picking up my Takedown later this afternoon. I considered a smaller scope, but went with the Williams rear peep and front firesight instead. I received it yesterday and it's sitting on my bench patiently waiting to be installed. Since this is going in a bugout bag, I wanted something lighter and more fail-proof than a scope.

I've never used a firesight before, so I'm looking forward to that.
