    10/22 QUESTION..

I was going to buy a 10/22 when I got a call from my mom and she had my old 22 from when I was a kid.. It's a ruger 10/22 but from the 70's.. My question is do the mags for todays 10/22's work in the older 10/22's like the one I now have??

Yes, the mags will fit fine...all years, all models are the same.

Everything is interchangeable. You have a few choices for mag releases. The Volquartsen is about $16 (black or silver) and does the job pretty well, but I prefer the $30 Tactical Solutions/TSL (lots of colors including silver and black) mag releases. You mat also want to improve the trigger a bit with a Volquartsen hammer kit for $39 (black or silver).

If your mom lives in California, she can just hand it to you........no paperwork.
