Is it worth it? The discounted price is now 390 dropped down from 520. It will just be a plinker/all around fun, nothing too serious. Is it really worth it or will I be better of just picking up a 10/22 and putting the extra money towards glass or magazines?

ATI "MP5" .22lr From Big5

I checked it out when I was there during the firearm sale last weekend. Seemed nice but I ended up getting a base model 10/22 to turn into a tactically oriented precision .22 shooter instead. The nice thing about the 10/22 is that you can turn it into anything and if you get tired of it and have the money you can keep changing things up. I also held the Umarex MP5 at my local gun store and liked it better than the ATI MP5. Whatever you choose I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun I can't wait to pick my 10/22 up this week.SIG MCX, HK VP9, SIG P938 -
I own a 1st gen ATI/GSG GSG-5.
It's a good plinker.
But, the Umarex/H&K MP5 .22 is the better "MP5" style .22LR rifle.
However, if you want better accuracy and more accessories, get a Ruger 10/22.sigpic

Thanks for the input. I think that about sums it up, it's hard to go wrong with the 10/22. And I think they still have it on sale there too!Comment
