CCI Quiet Ammo

Has anyone used this ammo yet? 710 fps and only 25% the sound of a standard high velocity .22 round.

I never used that one before but I have used CB and subsonics. they are quieter but sometimes they dont cycle on semi autos.

I have the .22 Quiet and the CB long. The .22 Quiet isnt as quiet as they say. It had enough umph to cycle my 64's bolt a few times. Its accurate at tue 25 yard range i tried it on. Ill try some longer shots next time.

I have used some subsonics before, but the ones I used were pretty worthless, I might as well have just shot a pellet gun.

700 to 750 fps with a 40 grain projectile is better than any pellet gun for larger pests. If you can keep the bolt closed the sub sonic, shorts, and CB's are very quiet.

Jnunez, I believe they are for short range pest control and practice when your neighbors might complain. Here in southern Cali, it's still illegal to discharge a firearms at home anyway, so that plus is no help at all to me. I view it as an alternative to the CB cap. Still have to get to the range to play with them.

Ahhhh, I see. I'm curious to try these out.

I have some .22 short- 29 grain rounds that I received in a bulk ammo purchase. Are they similar in "pop" or power??

Will the CCI Quiet or the subsonics cycle a 10/22 w/ Hogue stock?

Not sure the stock has anything to do if it will cycle at all or not unless its interfering with bolt movement.
It might. It did a few times on my 64fxp but that was a few...
These are marked as Target/Plinking but the do a good job on ground squirrels that ive hit. I believe it 40ftlbs of energy. Thats more than enough for medium sized pests too.

I'd love to try these in my 15-22 for kicks. If anyone has experience, should I bother loading these into a magazine? I don't know if the bolt would go back far enough since it's only priming compound, no gun powder, right? I've single shotted 100 rounds before and it wasn't too bad.
