i finally picked up my Savage FV 22 after my 10 day holding pattern. no problem with the Savage scope bases. my cheep Wall Mart Center Point [ 70 bucks] scope fit like a glove. glad i cleaned the rifle right out of the box. it had a film inside and out to clean off. it took 5 cleaning pads with oil on them to get it all out. now the barrel looks very nice. off to the range this weekend. at the OC gun show i picked up [2 ] 10 round mags. it came with [1] 5 round mag. that plastic stock looks ok to me. also i will not need a check pad as i thought i would. so far very happy. i hope it is more accurate than my mosberg tactical 22
