    love those 22s

i have 2 grand sons 8 & 10. out of the clear blue sky i thought it would be nice to get them a plinker to shoot. so after looking at what was out their i bought a mosberg tactical 22. these kids today want tactical guns and zombi targets . well i must admit that little plinker is a lot of fun for gramps also. we have put over 500 rounds threw it and only had 2 duds [ WM federal bulk] and 1 jam. so now i pick up my savage mark 2 [ FV] this monday. i already have the scope for it and 2 10 round clips. i think i am hooked. i like the rim fire because i can go to indoor pistol ranges and also corona has a outdoor range that is only 6 miles from my home. chino hills. plus the ammo is just so cheep you can shoot all you want.i have always had a gun but never made it my hobby. i was into motorcycling for 10 years, i just lost interest in them.
i think my next gun will be a Ruger scout 308. it just feels so good in my hands.i like it more than the M1a or Mini 14.

22s are great. I've gone crazy with them this year. CZ 452, Mossberg 44, and Umarex MP5 all in the past month. Tax refund madness!!! Even when get serious about accuracy and benchrest shoot a box of SK or Wolf, it is $5-6/50 which is still half of what a box of 9mm costs me.
