10/22 into a AUG

Here's my latest project while I'm waiting for my bolt action.

It's a Ruger 10/22 inside of a airsoft AUG. Its about 80% done.

The length is 28 inches using a 16 in OEM barrel. So it's legal.

The fake suppressor came from a archangel marauder kit. I'll be replacing this with a flash hider

Things to do:
Add the bullpup trigger linkage (hardest part)
Add a flash hider
Add more bolts to keep the body together. Right now its still splitting on the front of the body
Add brackets for the quad rails to the body
Add brackets and epoxy putty inside to hold the receiver
JB weld the ruger magazine to the AUG magazine
Create an extended mag release

I've always wanted a .22lr bullpup ever since I saw this 10/22 converted. Unfortunately its 950 + 10/22 receiver.

I have a few new ones.

I have a L96 that will be gutted and fitted tomorrow with my .22 bolt action

And a Blaser LRS1 is on special order which should come in soon. Another .22 bolt action will go inside.

I have a AK47 for my Marlin 795 22LR

im looking to get a real MG42, BAR and Bren parts kits and dropping in a 10/22 in each of them

so far ive sourced the parts. i just need to find out if its legal in california and if i need to go through an FFL and DROS. the receivers have 3 cuts in them to make them non functional.

still doing a lot of research and asking around in the forums.

so how is it legal for us californias to get this demilled kits directly with no FFL and no DROS? because its no longer recognized as an assault weapon because its been demilled and its a non functional gun?

not yet. im getting back to finishing my bullpups the next two months.

for the AUG i broke off a tab that connects the metal quad rail to the plastic stock. im trying to figure out how to reconnect them with some bracket or something.

i just purchased four Marlin Model 60 tube fed rifles to see if i can use these instead of the 10/22 because its easier for me to not deal with the 10/22 magwell.

Nice. Here's mine I built a couple of years ago. I still want to get the barrel cut down and find a reasonably priced tulip flash hider, but I think that's near impossible. I used a Savage 64 for mine. On mine I made the AUG charging handle the mag release. Works pretty well.
