Best ammo for accuracy for Marlin 795?

There are a lot of brands and I'm not sure which is best for the rifle; nor if I should get 36 grains or 40.

This is Wolf Match Targe 40gr out of my Marlin 60 w/ Nikon prostaff 4-12 scope. First picture is 12x magnification and my zeroing attempts @ 50y (Yes, I aim at different areas of the target so I dont waste all that useable space - its not that Im THAT bad of a shot). Second pic is 4x @ 50y after the zeroing.

Buy some of the 50 round boxes of different types and try 'em out. See what works the best. Every gun is different.

        Bingo.

Two of the exact same models rifle might work better with 2 completely different brands/models of ammo.

Fortunately getting a bunch of 50 rd. boxes isn't particularly expensive to do.

          Yup.

My 795 won't even cycle Federal Bulk but loves Blazer, Winchester Super-X, and Mini Mags.

Don't even bother trying the Remington Golden Poops.

All I use in my 795 is CCI Blazer and Mini Mags.

IMHO cci mini mags are always a solid choice but rarely the best choice.

Check out winchester subsonic hp 40 gr. Get a box. If you like it then bass pro has 500 packs for 36 bucks. Best combination of price and accuracy that I have found for my 22's.

I've used federal champion blue box, federal 550 bulk pack, Winchester super x, cci mini mags, and cci blazer. I feel like the blazer has had the best results for both consistantcy and accuracy. I even switched from mini mags to blazer half way through an apple seed because it gave me tighter groups.
