Nice how that title rhymes.
Anyway, the title says it all... my M&P 15/22 was my first rifle, and over the past six months or so I've shot, like, a few thousand rounds of rimfire out of it. I recently mounted a 3-9x Sweet .22 that I calibrated for the 40g Eley I like to shoot, as well as a simple UTG sling.
I recently got comfortable with shooting 100yds with irons, thanks to the Eley I can pretty consistently land in the 8-ring at 100 yds with irons. The scope is making it really pretty trivial to punch paper now.
So now that I'm comfortable with my rifle, I'm also realizing that there is very little to do aside from punch paper with it, considering the county (Contra Costa) and the state I live in. I'm planning on acquiring a proper AR at some point later, but for now I'd like to do something different with my faithful little .22.
Any suggestions on events and setups to try? I'd love to try some of these tactical carbine events with just my stock irons, though I don't know if bringing my tacticool little .22LR would be... how shall I put it... seemly...
Also, anyone have any recommendations on optics or accessories for rimfire matches?
