Your Favorite, Ruger Mark III

I would soon be able to buy my own Ruger Mark III (due to tax refund).

There are a bewildering array of models in the Mark III lineup though. What is your favorite model?? Did you do any mods when you had yours, or did you kept it stock??

MK III Competition.
This was a tack driver, even before I made VQ mods (VQ MK III accurizing kit, VQ bolt tuneup, SS trigger, Sam's hammer bushing & SS LCI)

My MkIII 22/45 5.5" stainless is stupid accurate. Added the VQ accurizing kit, Hiviz optic front sight, removed the mag disconnect, and TT Custom grips and base pads. At 25yds two handed unsupported i can land all 10rds in a 2.5" target. Out of all my guns, this one is the most fun, and inexpensive to shoot.

Some mods, like the mag disconnect removal, are mandatory. These are mine (Bull Barrel) & my Dads (Stainless Slab Side). I did that mod to both & it actually improved the trigger feel & smoothness as well. Other than the grips & the sights, they are stock- and GREAT Shooters!
