    DROSed savage MKII today

    Ok so I made the deal with a calgunner today for a used Savage MKII. We met at a local shop and did all of the paper work.
    Here's the deal, savage looks to be in good shape, composit stock and has a 4X scope mounted to it along with the factory sights. It is not drilled for mounts and has the dove-tail machined into the top of the bbl for the scope mount. I guess I dont know is how old the rifle might be. It does not have a the accu-trigger BTW.
    I have a cpl of questions for you folks.
    How long ago did Savage go to the accu-trigger? How long have they been making the MKII?
    Thanks in advance for any info.

      It looks like Savage introduced the AccuTrigger in about 2002 according to this about.com article and this review.

      As for the MKII, their product manuals for a few of variants go back to April of 2005 and November of 2004, so I'm guessing those are the earliest that the rifles debuted.

          Keep in mind the accu-trigger is an option. When i ordered my 93fvss i wanted to have it.
