    Strange .22

    I picked this up in a trade recently, appears to be homemade. It will chamber a .22 LR but when I tried to fire it the firing pin spring is too weak to even dimple the cartridge rim.

    Anybody seen anything like it?

    What's the rectangular cut out on the side for? Is that where they cut out the serial number.

      That's where the extracted case falls out, the ejector won't toss it out so it falls out by gravity.
