Building a target 10/22 need a scope suggestion

Guys, looking for a stainless finish scope for around $200 - $300. Would like something with target turrets..

Amazon has all the popular brands. As to your needs I'd go 4x12x 40mm. I'm not sure if Simmons has the finish but they do have a large selection. I think Weaver may also have a stainless finish but a bit more pricey. Check the rimfire page above and take a peek at the members rifles for a few more clues.

I'm asking for personal recommendations from products you guys have used with the items I am looking for. Silver finish and target turrets.

Mueller APV I believe comes in silver. Check out there other scopes also. Good glass, good price. I've got a black one on my 10/22 target and love it. Very clear for the money.

I've cut playing cards in two - sideways - at 50 yards and I've punched holes in dimes at 100 with mine.

My rule of thumb with precision shooting is, "If you can see it; you can hit it. If you can't see it; good luck hitting it."

I run a 4x16x42 on mine.

Midway USA has a BSA 14x mil-mil with FFP for $250. A great trainer scope to match your long distance scope.

I rarely pair silver scopes with stainless or silver rifles because you usually wind up with 2-3 mismatched shades of silver but a Mueller Eradicator is available in silver, is a 3-star scope, and is in your price range. This one is sitting in a DNZ scope mount. BTW the scope is not actually touching the barrel in the photo below but the gap isn't much more than 1/64th inch. Honestly I think matte black looks best on a stainless rifle.



My favorite scope for serious rimfire target shooting is a Weaver V24 6-24x42 with the V16 4-16x42 a close second but neither come in silver and they don't have target turrets. They just have the best optical quality and zoom range combination for the money. In my opinion it's a much better scope than the Eradicator because of more forgiving eye placement.

Here's the Guns & Shooting Scope Rankings to help you compare products. They don't bother to rank BSA or NcStar but I'd put them at 1-star and 0-star respectively. I'd stay with 3-star or better scopes if you can.

Even better on a Full Build Ruger 10/22 with blacked out bolt, The Stainless receiver doesnt even match the Stainless barrel, maby i should polish it more

Mueller Eraticator will serve much better as a target scope than a Mueller APV. The crosshairs in the APV are a little too thick for target work. Had one, nice scope but sold it due to the thickness of the crosshairs. That said the Weavers are much nicer IMO.
