Ive had a Walther G22 bullpup for a few years now, but i always felt like i was missing out on the whole 10/22 thing. So last week i picked up a new 10/22 and went to the range to play with it.
Kinda dissapointed with the 10/22. Everything feels so uncomfortable: the sights are low and the stock is short, i feel like im aiming a down the bead of a shotgun. The trigger is heavy, and overal the gun is not as fun to shoot as the gun i already had.
By comparison, the G22 is practically perfect ergonomically. The sights line up naturally with my eyes, i dont have to dig my cheeck into the stock to see down them, the pistol grip makes it comfortable. All the weight is in the rear so you dont feel like your holding anything up at all. The controls are all quick and naturally spaced out, and the trigger is super light but has alot of travel.
Just goes to show, sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you dont
