    New Winchester ar 22 ammo

I was looking through my new ammo catalogue, and I saw Winchester has a 22 ar dedicated ammo, has anyone ever used it?

yup....it's been out for a while. I didn't notice a difference in my AR.....although I do have to say my custom 10/22 really liked it as did my Henry lever action!

I tried it shoots ok for bulk, good plinking ammo but don't expect ultra tight groups.

This was in a moa 10/22 receiver with threaded lilaja barrel eley chamber with kidd parts,

I forgot about that Winchester. I'd assume CCI tactical is more reliable/accurate?

I would like to try it in my 10/22 but no one sells it locally and shipping 8lbs will cost. Then you have to hope it's at least as good as Blazer or Fed bulk.

Its nothing special. I found Federal AutoMatch from WalMart to be a little better in semi-auto rifle and pistola. I stay away from copper washed ammo, prefer the plain lead round nose with lube. Just my preference.

I got mine from Gander for $50 shipped plus a $10 rebate. For that price its good, I'm not paying the asking price - its the same stuff as the Winchester 555 with a more rounder bullet. My groups with the 555 and M-22 were the same - good groups in my AR CMMG 22LR better grouping than the CCIs SV, Minimag, and Velocitors. Somehow my black rimfire rifles like the Winchesters and Remington Golden Bullets.
