    Marlin XT-22 into a M200 Cheytac Intervention

OMG this thing is sooooooo bad ***!!!!

I just picked up this full metall M200 Cheytac Intervention

It retails for $650 but it cost me $300 for the shell used.

I just finished gutting. I did some test fit and the Ruger 10/22 can fit inside however my dremel isn't good enough to cut out the thick metals. I need to go to my gunsmith and have him mill out the receiver and the barrel since its faster and more precise. I'm likely going to cut my trigger guard off my 10/22 and use an extended trigger so I can use the existing trigger guard of the M200.

Also I'll be using a 29" barrel from urbanrifle.com. If it's too short, then I'll cut down the M200 barrel to match the length of the 10/22 barrel.

This thing is extremely heavy. I'll weigh it tomorrow but it feels like its about 20lbs without optics.

Right now its about 40% done. Hopefully the milling goes well when my gunsmith has time to work on it.

      Just a recap.

So the Ruger 10/22 idea went out the window. I mentioned I wanted to do the 10/22 because I had a 29 inch barrel to go with it.

Instead I went with a .22 bolt action Marlin XT-22. I also bought a Savage MKII F .22 bolt action that I will also fit inside this M200.

      It's 90% done.
Just finished milling out the upper and lower receiver through a lathe and mill
Need to add epoxy putty inside to prevent movement.
Create a bracket to use the existing bolt
Gut out the M200 magazine to be used as a shroud for the Marlin XT22 magazine
Repaint the upper and lower receiver flat black
Then test fire at an INDOOR range. hehehe

I had to mill out a large chunk of the upper receiver to give free movement for the bolt to move back and forth.

Make sure to look at the pics where the bolt is open and closed. There's plenty of clearance
