    Sears Model 25 broken extractor

    Afternoon folks,

Was having a great day over at Livermore rifle range this morning, had finally started to get the new scope on my Sear Model 25 dialed in and was getting good sub .moa groups at 100 with the rifle when the left extractor breaks

I have found a supplier that has extractors for the rifle in stock but would you recommend that I replace both left and right extractors or just the left one? should I also replace the springs and plungers at the same time or use the existing springs and plungers?

And as this thread is useless without pictures here are my best for 25 & 100

Your model Sears 25 "High Standard Sportking" I also own. I also had a similar issue with the extractor. I replaced both extractors and springs and plungers while it was apart. Just figured do it all at once. Got all of my parts form Numrich gun parts. I actually ordered a new fireing pin that I have never used.

May I ask how long you have owned yours? I have had mine since 1967 great little shooter.

Thanks for the reply, I was thinking pretty much the same thing - replace all the extractor parts, Numrich was indeed the place I was looking at to replace the extractor pieces.

I actually acquired the rifle last year, its got a BH date code which means February 1964 manufacture, I really am more than slightly infatuated with this little gem of a rifle, so damn accurate even with my mediocre skills, its 'fuller' size feels much more comfortable than my 10/22 carbine.
