Less Expensive Than Tech Sights Options?

I thought I was going to mount tech sights on my 795, but $80 is more that I'd like to spend (kinda like having a $10 horse & a $40 saddle...)

    Any suggestions? Knock-offs?

    Thanks!

Bite the bullet and get the tech sights if you want a decent iron peep sight system.

I second just buy the tech sights. I was on the fence for a few years, finally ordered them from Brownells (less than $80) and wondered why I didn't do it before. TS100.

A less expensive sight would be the Williams Receiver sight (bottom of the line) but in the end you might like like it. Can be a pita to adjust. A better, more adjustable Williams sight will cost as much as the Tech Sights and then you will need to purchase a new front sight which will cause the price to equal or exceed the Tech Sight price. Good iron sights are not cheap, cheap iron sights are not good. Same holds true with scopes.

No, it's not like having a $10 horse and $40 saddle. It's like having a $130 gun and $70 sights so you can actually hit a target when you shoot. If you want to upgrade the irons it comes with, yeah you're going to have to pay for it.

Here's another option for $5 more. Gives you the option of mounting a scope. If you so desire.

First, standard disclaimers. I have no connection to this company. I found them when someone posted a link and was intrigued so I contacted them. After a few emails back and forth I decided to take a chance and give them a try. I was a little frustrated by the tiny pics on their website so I...

I looked at the TST site and the scope mounting option is $30, unless I read it wrong.

They look like a good product though. Of course the OP was looking for a cheaper alternative for his 795 not a 10/22.
