    umarex colt m4 22lr questions

NEWB STATUS! Looking to change the stock front sight. Will any standard aftermarket gasblock work as a replacement? I also want to attach a MOE grip, anyone have any pointer on trimming it or maybe a trick I havent thought of. If you have a link to a post here, please point me in the right direction please. Thanks!

    From Colts web site,

Will standard AR grips work with the Colt .22 Rimfire Rifles?
Standard AR grip options will not work on these rifles as their internal hole(s) do not line up with the screw mount.

Yes, a Magpul MOE will work, but you will have to modify the grip attachment hole so that there is clearance for the firing control group mechanism (pin) and the grip attachment.
Here is a picture of my Umarex Colt M4 .22

I think the best thing to do is to mimic the holes from the original stock grips and drill carefully.

How does the Magpul MOE buttstock compare to the stock one?

Honestly, I still experience some wiggle room with the Mil-Spec MOE buttstock and since removed it to utilize on my Smith & Wesson M&P15OR.

Currently my Colt Umarex is utilizing a Magpul (PTS) MOE version which works just the same. For a .22, it works just fine and its really just for aesthetics.

Not to hijack this thread, but since it's about umarex m4, I just got one and would like to find out what round works best. I've had quite a few fte's on a cci blazer, much less with a federal (blue) pack. I'd like to be able to use the federal since I have thousands of them. Any trick that worked for anyone?

Is the only difference between Magpul PTS and Millspec is that PTS is made for airsoft gun?

Not sure on the ammo issue. I read somewhere here that you can adjust settings to help with ammo issues. Has anyone tried to take the front sight off yet? I purchased a low price gas block to keep my rail system on rather than purchasing a CASV-EL Kit. any info would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly, I'm not too sure! The Magpul PTS if Im not mistaken is made for Airsoft or for purchase to those who do not live in the U.S.A. due to export restrictions. But... the PTS does fit the Mil-spec buffer tube.

I'm sure if I had the Magpul CTR that would definitely remedy the wiggle that I experienced with the Colt M4 .22
