Todate my GSG 1911 hasn't had any ammo issues. I've used Federal copper tops, and CCI mini mags.

Same, only CCI and Federal bulk packs shot thus far. As well as Mini Mags.

          2 questions:

1 - are federal bulk packs you refering to in Blue box?

2 - Why re mini mags almost double the price? Whats the difference between them and the federal?

Yes, Federal is the blue box. ( Hollow Points )

Mini Mags- Cleaner ammo, more accurate, reliability, NO FTF's or FTE's with Mini Mags. At least in my experience. But to be honest, I haven't experienced any of that stuff with the CCI Blazer or Federal bulk packs.

I'm sure you'll get a million answers lol

I took my 1911 out and it kept on FTF with walmart federal 550 bulk ammo. Nose of the round would stuck on the upper rim of chamber.

Other times, the next round would sit flat in the magazine and gun fails to load the next round into chamber. So after my 30s safety wait time, i rack the slide and find no round in chamber.

Mine liked the Remington golden bullet and Federal bulk packs until it blew up. I also tried the federal match grade ammo in the white boxes which didn't feed well, and the Winchester bulk packs that also didn't work well.

When the gun was new I tried the CCI mini-mags which also didn't cycle well. The best was the remington golden bullets.

How many rounds are you loading into the mags? 9 or 10? That was happening to my with my Ruger 10/22, but later found out it was the magazine, not the ammo.

I was shooting last Sat and when I fired a round the slide split and it blasted me in the face. Luckily I was wearing safety glasses. Im sure there wasn't a squib in the previous shot because I was watching my rounds impact downrange. I sent it back to ATI and they are supposed to be sending me a replacement.

It blew the mag out the bottom and the internals don't feel right. I have a new respect for the power of a .22lr cartridge.

It's amazing how pot metal splits just like that.

I contacted ATI for a replacement magazine and they refuse to send on out. They ask mr to send it in and told me its a 1-2 month turn around time because their gunsmith is backloged. ATI service is quite terrible.

                              How bad was the fragmentation?

How old is the gun? When was it manufactured?
