    Heritage Rough Rider... worth $150?

I'm considering picking up a Heritage .22 LR Rough Rider for some inexpensive plinking.... I thought it might be cool to have a "cowboy" style .22 that would I could shoot for fun without spending a fortune on. I checked out one of these rough riders @ Turners the other day, and they seem pretty nice. anyone have one? how are they? worth the $149 they're asking?

Yeah they are worth it. It's a straight shooting gun that hasn't failed me yet.

I bought a Ruger Single Six. But if I were to do it all over again, I would get the RR.

Why? I hardly ever shoot it. My wife likes it, but she only shoots it about once a year. Everyone prefers to shoot my Ruger Mk II! That's one gun I will never sell.

So I say go ahead with the RR. It will let you scratch that "cowboy gun" itch without hurting your wallet too much.

Would be worth the extra few dollars to get the 22lr/22mag version.

I sold a .22lr/.22mag used for $140 a couple months ago. I've got a couple of Single Sixes now. I've seen used HA lr/mags sell for $200ish here. So, what do you have to lose?

$200ish if they aren't any good... seriously, thanks everyone for the info. sounds like it's a go for a new RR this week.

my girlfriend brought one home last monday and we took it to the range that night. I really liked it, it's fun to shoot. She got it for $129(22lr cylinder only) at Turner's

for the price you cant beat them, ruger single six is best but it is only worth the price tag if you plan on passing it down to the kids some day.

For the money they make a great gun to carry out in the field along with your trusty 22 rifle! You don't need to spend much on a revolver that'll be your companion in a survival situation.

10 days was up today.... picked up my Rough Rider and took it out for some plinking this evening! what a fun little pistol! put 100 CCI Mini Mags through it before it got dark on me. from what I can tell so far, it's worth every penny of the $149 I paid for it!
