Smith & Wesson M&P in jail. Mod recommendations please

I just threw down for a Smith and Wesson M&P in 22LR at Kerleys (Cupertino) yesterday.

Total impulse buy as I was there for shotgun shells.

When I pick it up I'm considering removable iron sights and a red dot. Any recommendations from the group?

    I can't wait to lock & load....

    Thanks for any recommendations!

Not sure what model you got but the standard CA. Compliant one already has removable iron sights. I have a cheapo red dot that I bought at big 5 for about $30-$40 and I mounted it on a QR mount that gives me a perfect co-witness with the irons. I'll be honest you can shoot better, tighter groups with just the iron sights. Once you put on a fun little dot sight on there though it's hard to go back, so I would suggest not putting anything on the rifle and just get really good and comfortable with it. Shoot it soo much that you feel you could hit anything at any distance with it/2500-3000 rounds or so and then play with sights. JMHO

I could already probably do well with just irons. I'd get it set up so I could remove any red dot sight. The dealer's gun, which he showed me, had that type of set up.

      Thanks for the advice!
