.22s are like crack. You just want more and more. They are also the gun you will shoot due to low cost. I finally broke down this year and got a second safe just for .22s. Oh wait, I don't have a 795 I need more!

I love mine, it is crazy accurate!!

Unfortunately mine will jam 1 to 2 out of 10 rounds if I use cheap bulk ammo.

My baby only likes the good stuff and will have a tantrum if I feed her Blazer or Federal bulk.

Try federal and blazer bulk packs and go from there. .22's are picky, and it's not something like a Marlin 795 works best with brand x and fails with brand y. Your marlin might not like the same ammo as my marlin. That's just the way it is.

Congrats! You could start looking into accessories to make the wait seem less painful. More mags, bipod, scope, sling, whatever floats your boat. Oh and ammo, LOTS of ammo! You can never have too much .22lr ammo.

Before you stock up on a certain brand, cause as stated above some Marlins are picky about type and brand ammo, I would get several kinds and see what works best, then stock up on that.

General consensus is Blazer 525 Value Packs run great in 795's
But you should figure out what your rifle likes like Merc said

I'm also planning for appleseed. I was going to order the g.I. sling from their website but was wondering if I needed to buy swivels for it.
