ok, so I am going to the range tomorrow and I started playing with my new gun for the first time. I find that the bolt is really rough. has anyone had this issue with cz. will it loosen up in time, is it as simple as lube or will there need to be a mod?

rough bolt on cz 455

The bolt in my 452 UltraLux was a little rough, maybe a better term is tight, but it gets better with use/wear. CZs have tight tolerances so its pretty normal for the bolt to be tight/rough in the beginning. Now smooth as butter. They also have a tight bore, some even get .20 caliber cleaning tools for the bore.Comment

I felt the same when I first got my 455. I finally gave up and just went to the range. Low and behold, I stopped thinking about it and by the next time that I did it was much smoother.
It'll definately smooth out. Now it feels like a high end gun. No doubt, in the beginning I was tempted to send it in to CZ.Comment

It gets better with use. Lightly oil it and cycle it, and after a while, it will be just right.
That its a little rough is really a good thing. Shows you how much they care about the tolerances!sigpic
