    GSG 1911 using Remington Bulk

I tried using this bulk ammo on my GSG today. It has lots of FTF. I usually used the federal bulk with good success.

I was alternating with my MP 15-22 and never got a problem on the MP.

I almost finish the whole box when the GSG blew the cartridge and some powder hit my face. It seems like the cartridge was not fully seated in the chamber and the bullet is still in the cartridge. So much smoke on the gun.

Sorry I got a little terrified to take a picture.

I had a few FTFs (2 - 5) with Remington but overall it cycled; went through about a brick on my last range trip.

I haven't bought any of the Rem .22 in a long time ... years. It just has too many problems.

I have used about a dozen different types of ammo in my GSG 1911 and they all work fine.

My GSG doesn't like the Remington to many ftfire. With what I have done to the gun every thing else I have run through it works fine.

One of the issues with RGBs is that they're very dirty even by .22lr standards. Even if you don't experience any issues at first, give it a few mags or RGBs, and your gun will be dirty enough to start experiencing problems. Unless, of course, its tolerances are loose enough to accommodate for it.

CCI or Federal, try to stay away from the "Golden Bullet"

I like Gold box. Works fine in all my .22's. Dirty yes, but all .22 are dirty

My GSG 1911 consistently has failure to feed problems with CCI mini-mags. The nose of the CCI catches on the feed ramp and breech. It seems to work well with the bulk Remington ammunition. I did notice that the cartridges tend to stack inconsistently in the magazine, and I had to make sure the top cartridge was seated properly with its nose canted slightly up. I also noticed that with both of my magazines they don't feed well when they are completely topped off with ten rounds. The magazines are very new and I think this make work itself out in time as the spring breaks in.

Try loading ten in the magazine and letting it sit for a week or two.
