    Taurus Model 94

Thinking of buying a Taurus Model 94 .22LR, anyone have any experience with this .22LR revolver?

    I have one.

I don't like it. The DA trigger is horrid; I've tried other springs without success and the gunsmiths I've talked to don't believe it can be helped much.

Aside from the trigger I like the revolver. It's a nice size and it feels good in my hand but the trigger makes it impossible for me. I suggest you save up some more money and buy a Smith.

I picked up an old K22 last week and I'm selling the Taurus. Too bad you live behind
    the curtain
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

The da trigger is pretty tough, but the sa trigger is pretty darn good. Most plinking and target work will be single action.

          Taurus 94

Actually I had one and liked it a lot. Your not paying S&W or Ruger prices, so don't expect a Taurus to function just like one. Buy what you can afford and trade up as you save some money. Nothing wrong with a Taurus 94.

            I'd buy a ruger or smith before a 94.

              I had a Taurus 94- sold it to a fellow Calgunner- I have a S&W 351PD.
One is a $275 gun the other a $575 gun- guess what at the end of the day they both have very strong Double Action Rimfire triggers. The Taurus was a good gun, I just wanted a 22mag. I am currently looking for a 3" barrel Taurus 941 so I for one feel the Taurus is just fine for what it is.

Lots of comments about the da trigger being crappy. This always confuses me because I rearely to never shoot my revolvers in da mode. I'd bet most folks typically shoot their roscoes in sa mode.

I just pickedup a used Taurus 94 last month. I've already shot about 500 rounds through it and I love it. Zero complaints with it.

Cut two coils off the trigger rebound spring
and replaced the hammer srping with a wolff...

Cleaned inyerds dab of JB bore paste in moving parts...
                    Dry fire with snap caps..
A hundered times....Cleaned up and lubed with Frog lube.

                    Nice trigger and fires .....

If you cant do that yourself.....
                    Buy something else.

springs help a lot. I would believe what Vegas said except he obviously doesn't know what he is talking about, and just wanted to feel proud about living in that behind the times dustbowl. He probably has a weak trigger finger as well. He might try it with the one next to that.
