I got the stripped frame. Came with the Mark III mag release installed and a new disconnector. The trigger pin is held on with a c-clip instead of the trigger pivot retainer.

none....perhaps a bit lighter.

I agree. I have made that suggestion to Volquartsen. They said they are considering it.

Coupled with the lightweight TacSol receivers, it'd be a natural for a super-light field pistol.

Home gunsmiths have made Mark series receivers (the plans are available on-line) and it looks like a fairly simple project if you have access to a mill. But they needed to gut an existing pistol to complete the project. Kind of defeats the purpose of building from scratch.

Also, it's pretty much the only component part of the Mark series that isn't available either from Ruger or from an outside vendor until now.
