    Question for SR22 Pistol Owners

Have any of your tried the SR22 pistol mags with the Ultimate Cliploader? The UC is pretty much a must-own piece of equipment for the MkI/II/III, and if it doesn't work with the SR22 mags, some smart gunnie needs to invent an SR22 version right quick.

I am pretty sure the Ruger has a magazine and not a clip.

Yeah but I think the company who makes the "Ultimate Clip loader" wanted to be different and call it a clip loader instead of the "Ultimate magazine loader".

But the thing works awesome! I just picked one up for a Mark II and even though the gun is in jail I have been fascinated with the mag loader.

Don't know if it would work for the new 22.

        Heh. Everyone's a frickin' comedian.

Back to the topic at hand, I've found that sometimes when I take new shooters out, they complain a bit about the weight of my bull barrel MkII. It'd be nice to have a lightweight, reliable, relatively inexpensive and high quality plinker that could be loaded quickly to keep them shooting. I'm really liking what I've been reading about the new Ruger.

I wonder if this will work for the SR22?

The SR22 mags look like they have a large pull down flat on one side, much like the Mosquito mags. If that is the case, a loader would be redundant. The large flat makes it easy to slide down the follower.

You've obviously never used the ultimate clip loader. Literally loads a mag in a second and saves your thumb. If you've ever had to use the thumb screw(flat) without the clip loader for any training purposes your finger can get a bit worn. Interested to see if the sr22 mag will work with it, but I doubt it.

I have an ultimate clip loader and an SR22PB (pistol). The latter's mags will not fit into the magazine port on the ultimate clip loader.

Concur, it doesn't work with the SR22.
