    Marlin model 99C

I have an old Marlin model 99C pretty much the same as the model 6 that was my first gun 41 years ago.
It use to be quite reliable and accurate and a lot of fun to shoot.
Somewhere along the line it started having jamming issues, it wouldnt feed or it would bend the bullet off the case after missing the chamber on the feed.
    Sadly I quit using it.
I dug it out of the safe the other dsay and stripped it down and did a thorough cleaning to it, but to no avail it still jams all the same.
I'm sure my dad probably paid about $75.00 for it 41 years ago and I was wondering if you all thought it would be worth it to take it to a smith and see what they could do with it, or is that just money down the drain?
    Any opinions?

Maybe this will help or at least give you some ideas of what to look for: http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums...highlight=ramp

I think you might be able to fix this without a Gunsmith.
