I don't have a Henry (but one is on my wishlist). All I read about them is that the action is very nice and smooth. Accuracy is good and build quality is excellent except some of the models have some plastic parts but can be replaced with metal.

Which model did you get and if not too personal, how much? Gotta post pics when you get it.

Well it's a fantastic caliber for starters, and I assume it is a lever action and that is what Henry does well so congrats.

I'm guessing there is more than a 10 round capacity as well and a tube magazine so bravo on your choice.

I would love to get a Henry in 22 Mag., but, the family comes first. Before I got married I purchased a Henry in 22LR, beautiful rifle. It shot like a dream. Like you, I wanted a Winchester but they were too expensive. After a few years, something went wrong with the hammer, it wouldn't stay in the cocked position. I contacted Henry and a Mr. Imperioli(?), the owner, personally answered my letter and sent me a return label(free shipping). I shipped it back and they kept me informed as to the progress of the repair. About a month later, my rifle came back, cleaned, lubed and repaired. KUDOS to Mr. Imperioli(?) and his Henry Rifles. He definitely stands by his products.

Oh, sorry about that, Mr. Imperioli did everything for free, return shipping, repair and to ship it back to me.

Grats, Henry is one of those rifles that get passed down for generations.

What is the opinion between the Henry and Marlin lever action. I have to admit from the web description the marlin sounds nicer.

Once you hold the Henry you notice the quality difference. The Henry lever rifle's actions (in any caliber) are far better than any other manufacturer out of the box.

Just killed my first rat with my brand new Henry 22 WMR carbine. Super smooth action, accurate really feels good. My brand new Marlin 1894C does not seem like quite as much care went into the production or assembly. Just first impression of both. I am no expert by a long or short shot. Took a box of ammo and a hammer to sight in the Marlin. The Henry was dead nuts out of the box. Or is that dead rats out of the box? I know the 2 guns are apples and oranges.
The rats were eating the oranges as a mater of fact. Oh well enjoy yours.

Henry lever actions are awesome. My son likes it better than his 10/22 or my 15/22. He has declared it to be his gun and passed the 10/22 to little brother.
I've never shot the WMR, but my H001T is sweet.

So any problems just drop them an email and high probability that it will be answered by the owner/CEO. Best Customer Service in the firearm industry or so say the folks on rimfirecentral.com.
