My rifles really like RWS Target, luckily I discovered this before their new prices kicked in (added $100 case) needless to say I stocked up

Try some Eley Team, excellent stuff, a step below Match, uses the same lube as Match/Tenex. Wouldn't steer you wrong. Look @ Killough Shooting Sports, chaepest prices anywhere.

when testing ammo in rimfire rifles I like to shoot 25 rounds of the new ammo before I shoot a series of five test groups (5 shots per group) with the new ammo. (no not rapid fire, shoot as you would during a match). The 20 rounds are to move the bullet lube from the prior test ammo out of the barrel. This testing method uses one 50 round box per test.

I've tried several brands, versions, etc and my specific rifle seems to do well with wolf target match. Around $46 per 500. It's a little greasy for some reason, but fine. I really noticed a difference when I switched magazines one session from some generic winchester to the wolf. Soon as I did that, I was able to hit the barn. It was a great day.
          Seriously:
It's been said many times before, try a few, see what your rifle likes. Specifically, try out in the rifle you're competing with.

Lapua make the Wolf and the SK standard plus.

+1 for Champion. Izzy knows his stuff too! I have a MkII BV that i did some pretty extensive testing when I first bought it. My resuts were as follows:
Eley Tenex, Lapua Midas +, RWS 50, Federal Ultramatch, RWS Rifle Match, and SK std +. Oddly enough, the Wolf didn't seem to perform in my rifle. It is made by Lapua, as is the SK supposedly on the same machines. Sportsmans Guide has the best price I've seen on RWS R50, and Champion sells SK std+ for $49/500 the last time I bought some. I ended up with about 1000 rds each of RWS R50, RWS rifle match, and SK std +. I occaisionally shoot the rimfire matches on this forum, and I usually shoot all three types and see which gives me the best results. I don't know if it's me, or what but it always seems to vary

And this is the method I used... at 50 yds with 1/2" orange squares on 1/10 graph paper. I also ran a bore snake through after each type. (I'm sure some will have a problem with this part)

I like Wolf MT. CCI standard velocity isn't bad for the price. Depends on what your rifle likes.
