Just received a fake can for my dedicated .22lr AR and am wondering if this supposed to be pinned on or is is legal to have it removable?

1, it's a fake can right...
2, rimfire rifles aren't part of AW laws so it doesn't matter. Step 6 of the AW flowchart.
