Boyd's stocks are not 100% cut for 60 or the 795. Lucky for you they are easier to do for the 60 you just have to cut the portion out in the front for the tube to come out.

I have done 2 Boyd's stocks for the 795. They are well worth it!

Some of Boyds stocks are cut out to fit the 60...

They all used to be cut for the 60 then they moved to a new format to make it neither 100% for either.

Straight from the Boyds site on the Evolution page:

Model 60s will require final tube magazine cut to be inlet into your stock. Model 795s will require fitting of trigger guard area and fitting for the magazine cut-out.

I have a Marlin 60, bought it back in the 80's so have the 17+1 tube feed. I recently bought the Advanced Technology stock just to change it up from the original wood. This stock gives the Marlin 60 a complete Modern Black Rifle look and feel. My only con is the cheek piece is very narrow, but heck, it's a .22.
I have also switched back and forth form the AT and wood stock.
            Just my .02ct

These are all Boyds stocks on Marlin 60s. the T hole stocks were bought as factory seconds. The Evolution was for my left handed son. DR

If you use a Boyd's stock, try putting in a DIP trigger and guard: http://www.diproductsinc.com/Products.aspx?CAT=3603

There's a bunch of useful info over at RimfireCentral: http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/index.php They have a fairly active Marlin 60 sub-forum.

when i saw this, the first thing that popped into my mind, was that it looked like the guns, in the original planet of the apes series
That may be a CG first!
