Quick question about my new Ruger SR-22

Just picked it up from Big 5 on my lunch break. When I got it home I noticed there was no magazine in the box or gun. Is there supposed to be one included?

Yes, one magazine comes with the gun.
I guess you are headed back to Big 5 when you get off work.

Ok cool thanks. I called about an hour later but the manager that had gun knowledge had already gone home. The other manager is going do some research and get back to me. Just wanted to make sure it was supposed to come with one before they tell me that it doesn't, thanks again.

After looking around on the interwebz it seems I may have been mistaken. When I checked the rifle to see if the magazine was inserted I remember seeing the Ruger logo and name on what appeared to be a black magazine well door of some sort. I found pictures online and I'm thinking that that was actually the magazine inserted in the magazine well. I didn't think it was at first because it was flush with the bottom of the rifle. I thought I remember my buddy's magazine sticking out the bottom of his 10/22 but I think I'm wrong. I guess I will check again when I get home. On the plus side Big 5 got back to me and said if its not there when I double check then they will get me another one. Thanks again for the help guys.

10 round 10/22 magazines are fliush. There is no magazine "door".

When you get home, try using the mag release?

Yup, after looking at pictures I'm positive its in there now. There would be an empty well if no magazine was inserted. I was in a hurry because I had to get back to work. I breifly checked visually and just threw them in the safe. Can't wait to get home to play with it. I will be picking up 2 BX-25 mags on Friday and taking it out on Saturday to shoot along with my new Mosin Nagant 91/30 that I also picked up at Big 5 today!

I have since removed the EOTech (EOTech went on my M&P 15 Sport) and added a Vortex Red/Green Dot and Vortex Magnifier.

For now I just put a cheap barska scope on it and will be taking it out tomorrow. Can't wait

I have a "cheap" Barska 1x30 Electro M16 Sight on my Colt M4 Ops (Umarex) and the thing works AWESOME!!!!!! It's my only Barska but it's holding up well....knock on wood. Have fun

Good, well my mags did not come in today so I am stuck with just one 10 rd mag for the day. Oh well no big deal, I will have my hands full with others guns anyways.
