    Savage 93FVSS Light Strike issues

Hello everyone. Longtime lurker and I now come to you with an issue.

I have a pre accu-trigger Savage 93FVSS in 22wmr that has been having light strike issues every time I shoot it for the last year or so. Seems like every 10th round will not fire unless re-struck.

I have a feeling you're going to tell me to disassemble the bolt and clean thoroughly or polish. I've already done both of these.

Is there anything else I can do other than replacing the striker/spring?

Depending on how many rounds you have through it, you may just need to replace the spring, or striker and spring since you'd have it apart already.

I'd put the total number between 2-3k rounds. I've been religious in cleaning after each shoot as well.

Thanks for the reply. I'll bite the bullet and get the new spring (and striker).
