Just ordered one of these today. Should be here in about three days but still have to wait out the jail time. I'm going to put on a decent scope and my kids are not going to get their hands on it. They have their own, this ones MINE.

Nice! Congrats! I kind of want to get another one that is tube-fed, so I can have more than 10 rounds at a time. Still, mine is a blast to shoot!

Marlin XT 22TR
I have one of these with a 4X Barska scope. I use it and stingers to shred ground squirrels, lots of em. I love it! (the gun that is, I feel sorry for what little is left of those damn squirrels)sigpicComment

I pick mine up on Tue and have a Barska 3-9X40 waiting to go on it. Should be a good combo.Last edited by Clinton; 01-29-2012, 9:21 PM."CGF, so powerful we must be the NRA"

Mine has performed great at the range. While shooting at the smaller 1/2" targets at 50 yards, I can take out the middle of them using bulk Blazer ammo. When I went to Sac Valley, the two guys next to me commented on my grouping as we were walking out to check them. I've also put a round out of two through a 1/4" circle. I haven't shot at it more than that, but perhaps I will on my next range trip. Leave the .308 at home and have some extra fun with the .22s!
For a $200 rifle, the XT-22 is great IMO!

Nice to know it handles the Blazer well. Been thinking about a bolt rimfire for some time now. Still haven't decided if I want to stick to .22lr or try out the .17hmr. By the way, how's the trigger on her?Mine has performed great at the range. While shooting at the smaller 1/2" targets at 50 yards, I can take out the middle of them using bulk Blazer ammo. Well, it definitely shoots Blazer better than Federal. I was shooting up the last of my Federal and thought somehow that my scope broke or something. Switched to the Blazer and it was more accurate than before. The Federal grouping was all over the place. Made two little adjustments with the Blazer and it was game on.
The trigger is great IMO! I lightened it up before the Sac Valley trip, and after shooting my .308 and AR for hours, I shot it sooner than expected because the trigger was so light in comparison (a great example of why you don't put your finger on the trigger until you are ready to shoot!). Even though it is a factory trigger, I don't see a need to change it to anything else.

I just ordered the same rifle along with one of the last of the 6.8 spc ruger hawkeye compacts iv'e had my eye on forever now. Can't wait to shoot them both. I hope it cycles through rounds no problem being a tube feed and all. I really liked my uncles tube fed marlin 60, but I wanted a bolt action. I have had bad luck with clip fed bolt guns not wanting to feed reliably. Man I can't wait to go pick them up!Comment
