Or should I stick with only non-hollow point? It will most likely be 50 yards or under with a Mark III Target model. I was googling and searching, but couldn't find if it was ok. Does it expand right away and cause it to be not accurate or under 50 yards maybe it doesn't matter.

Hollow point is perfectly fineJohn 3:16Comment

yeah
Yes, it would be the bulk 525 or 550 pack. I saw federal hollow point and Winchester for a good price. I don't pick it up at ammo bros for 10 days so I'll get it there or wherever is on sale. They had 525 pack of federal for 21.99. I don't want to use plain lead either. I would imagine the barrel gets a lead residue.
Now just need to find a decent scope. The seller preferred a red dot. The guy at ammo bros preferred a regular scope.Comment

They aren't "plain lead" they are wax coated.
I've said it over and over again wax coated bullets are what they use in the Olympics thru their multi thousand dollar guns. Eley, Lapua and Wolf match / target ammo are all wax coated.
Wax lubed bullets probably protect your barrel better then that thin fake "copper" coated ones.
Back to OP question HP's are fine if your gun will feed them reliably.
Personally I run Blazer CCI 525 Value Packs and have never had any failure with them of any kind and they are very accurate.Comment

You should be fine. IMO stay away from the Remington gold bulk pack. I always have problems with FTE whenever I'm using that ammo, and as soon as I finish the last box I have open I won't be using it anymore.Ray

^^this...
Remington really sucked. I hated that ammo. Ive been running CCI Blazers and its the best one ive used even though its not hollow point. But you cant go wrong with Federal or Winchester Bulk packs. For the Federal or Winchester Bulk i would hit up Walmart instead. Theyre about 18.99 for the 555 packsDale: What? Guns are dangerous?
Hank: Yes, they kill people
Dale: Guns don't kill people, the government does

In my particular rifle I have found the Winchester 36gr. copper plated hollow points to be the most accurate round I have tried. You will notice that many if not most center fire match ammo. is hollow point. The hollow point moves the bullets center of gravity farther to the rear and, believe it or not, a rearward center of gravity helps bullet accuracy.Comment

Bulk pack HP is fine! My Mk1 loves them.
Get the Federal bulk at Wally's for a good price. $11.99/375 IIRC. 2x of the 375 packs are a better deal than the 525's.
I second the Blazers...good, consistent bulk ammo.

+1 to hp. No problem. You'll never tell the difference from solids on paper targets.9mm and 45acp are equally lousy. There's not a dime's worth of difference in REAL terminal ballistics. Get over it.

All high quality rimfire match ammo is round nose, wax lubed bullet except for Tenex EPS bullets. Not doubting what you are saying about centerfire but rimfire is a different animal. In my particular rifle I have found the Winchester 36gr. copper plated hollow points to be the most accurate round I have tried. I really appreciate all of the info. I'm gonna hit up Walmart next time I'm there.
