Rimfire mag question

I got a question can I use my 25 round mags in my 10-22 legally in California or are they banned the same way as centerfire mags. I have a butler creek and ramline mags the ramlines still have there price tag from when I was in high school a whopping $2.99.

Legal to use in a rimfire since you already legally have them, that's the short version. Someone may come to give the long version.

I've been told I'm the more straight than a board never even have been pulled over for speeding. I just want to make sure I am legal so I ask a lot of questions I leave nothing too chance.

The magazine ban treats Ruger 10/22 magazines the same way as AR15 magazines. You can use your legally owned "large capacity" centerfire mags as well, as long as you don't create an illegal assault weapon while doing so.

Except that a rimfire rifle can never be an assault rifle, so normal capacity magazines in a rimfire rifle are ok with "evil" features. No bullet button ever needed in this case.

You cannot buy them now. If you already owned them, you can use them.

No.
Assault rifle law is separate from the magazine restriction.
Magazine restrictions apply to rimfire.

If you owned a 22lr magazine prior to 2000 then you can use it. You can also repair it with a rebuild kit, but you can not end up with more magazines then you started with. But most 22lr hicaps can not be taken apart to repair.
