so after building my first ar i realized that .223 isnt as cheap to shoot as i thought it would be (especially in a semi-auto platform) - so i decided i wanted the option to shoot 22lr from the AR platform - i wanted full performance for this rifle so a drop in conversion wasnt going to cut it - i decided on a dedicated upper , so i got a chiappa m4-22 upper - the main reason i went with chiappa was the price $300 with 2 mags shipped to my door

heres the barrel/chamber notice the small burr caused by dry firing (the firing pin striking against the face of the barrel) , i took a small round file and removed the burr

here it is sporting a double star lower with an A2 stock (off my varmint upper) i will be building a spikes lower in the next couple of days for this upper with a 6 position stock - i will be posting a range report asap
