Stiff 10rd mags on Marlin 795

How do I make them loose? getting 10 rounds in over even 7 rounds in it seems impossible.

Are talking about putting the mag in the gun or bullets in the mag?

If its mag in gun then just give it time, the mag will go in and out with ease after 1000 rounds or so.

If your talking bullets in mag, you can make a quick loader using a wire coat hanger and 15 mins. Push the plastic pin on the side down until it stops and measure the depth. Grab the wire coat hanger and cut it with double the depth plus 2 inches. The extra two inches is to make a thumb rest and the other end is bent in slightly to fit in the last hole on the mag. Il take pics and post them when I get home later

Are your mags new? This has happened before when I first bought some fresh magazines from CDNN and after a few times reloading/loading them, they tend to ease up a bit.

I took my 795 mags and loaded them up with 10 rounds and left them in for 2 weeks. It definitely helped. I do this with all my mags.

Load 'em and leave 'em loaded, one day they'll just be perfect.

                    Or make your own loader.

I made a simple 795 speed loader that you can clip into place to hold the mag fully open and drop in rounds. When the mag is full, you can simply pop the speed loader out from a locking position in the bottom of the magazine. You can do the same in about 20 minutes with a pair of pliers and a...

Already had an Uplula for the larger calibers. Bought this for my 22s. Works just like its larger sibling. Saves the thumbs and loads magazines very rapidly.

I've been putting this off for a long time ($30 buys 1,000 rounds) but I finally got one last night. I went to the range the other night and was reminded what a PITA those little 795 mags are.

My thumbs will be thanking me tomorrow, I'm taking my nephew and his dad out to BLM land to shoot, and I suspect the 795 will be getting a workout.

I got the Baby UpLula. Best $25 I've spent. Amazon shipped Prime.
