    Custom ar22 build

Im thinking about building one using actual mil spec spare parts upper + lower with cmmg dedicated barrel and kit. What are your thoughts and advice.

Not sure where the drama is here.... Unless you are talking about a US issue surplus parts kit..... I think for a .22lr you should just get the most affordable lower you can, and talk to Shadow about a complete upper....

If you have all the parts minus the barrel and bcg, you can save some money. But it's real hard to build one for what I can get you a complete upper for if you are buying parts.

Might as well just get the complete CMMG upper. You would be hard pressed to find a better value.

I just got the complete upper from CMMG. The bolt hold opener isn't 100% but overall it works well.

Cut your bolt catch spring 2 coils.

Does CMMG happen to make one of those in a left handed model? If not does anyone?

Thx for advice. I will end up getting a dedicated upper from cmmg or tac sol. Just thinking about using some of my spare parts for a project build.

Unless you can scrounge up a used .22 Bolt assembly and a barrel you would spend around 285.00 new for just those two parts..I would go with CMMG over Tacsol...Goodluck whatever you decide.....
