    GSG 1911 help needed!

Guys, i want to make my GSG a little more accurate then it is. I heard by changing the front sight should help, an of course the barrel bushing will help as well.

Queston is, on the front sight, which one should i use. The gun shoots high. I beleive it has the medium one on it currently. My thinking is put the taller one on so i have to bring the nose of the gun down? Is my thinking correct?

On the barrel bushing, should any 1911 bushing work?

Also would the SS guide rod actually help accuracy? or just a beefier part to prolong life?

    Thanks gents

Winchester White box. I have had really no issues with it. im going to try some mini mags tonight as well. I will throw on the taller front sight as well.

I use the medium front site and it shoots dead on from 25 to 40 feet. Closer than that, it shoots low and farther that 40 ft the group scatters a bit due to the shooter.

Is the GSG a straight blowback design? The frt bushing fit might not affect accuracy as much as it does on traditional 1911 pistols (locking breech- short recoil operated).

I had a chance to fire my new gsg recently
but I had already installed the full length guide rod, and better recoil spring

ran perfectly with only 2 feed problems (maybe ammo)
            2 stovepipes

used 6 different brands of ammo, from high velocity to normal

if I shot slow, it was dead on at the indoor range
            I think I was 15-20 feet away

but I was mostly rapid firing to see how it runs

I would suggest at least the full length guide rod,, the spring felt the same as stock, so im not sure if its really aftermarket but at least I have a spare now

If yours is newer the bushing should be magnetic I think there were only problems with the older non magnetic ones
