    Winchester 77 legality?

A friend called me wanting to know if it is legal his dad gave it to him and told him the usual long story of it being grand-dads rifle, but he said when he loaded rounds in the tube it held 15, it's tube fed so is that legal or does he need to make some kind of plug for it? I did some searching and tried the flow chart but that is mainly for AW stuff.

12020(c)(25) As used in this section, "large-capacity magazine" means any ammunition feeding device with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds, but shall not be construed to include any of the following:
    (A) A feeding device that has been permanently altered so that it cannot accommodate more than 10 rounds.
    (B) A .22 caliber tube ammunition feeding device.
    (C) A tubular magazine that is contained in a lever-action firearm.
    Jack

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

your fine 15 rounds is what my marlin holds if it was a mag fed then you would need a 10 round mag but tube fed is fine
