    thoughts on the cz combo

I was thinking of getting the new cz455 combo. I like the idea of 22lr for the range and 17hmr for the field. I was just wondering what are everyone's thoughts

Depends on how good the fit of the barrel exchange is. Cool idea. I like my CZ .22 pistol adapter a lot.

They are so new that I doubt there are many reviews/opinions as yet. CZ makes quality firearms, I own one and its great. My only reservation on the combo is whether or not both actions and barrels will mount the same in the stock.

It is appealing to get the two rifle capability in one package. I would seriously think about whether I needed the capability before buying. 22lr is a great gun out to 75yds, maybe 100yds for targets, squirrels, rabbits. I think the 17HMR extends the range for that type of shooting out to maybe 200yds with enough accuracy to be useful. You may read where the 17HMR is OK for coyotes but I wouldn't use it for that. Shot placement is really, really critical with that small bullet on large predators. Just my opinion.

i have a 22-250 for yotes, the 17hmr came into play when i was rabbit hunting. I pulled up and saw three or four, but where out of reach of the 22lr. i just hope that the accuracy is equal on both rounds

Take a look at the attached target on Post #10 in this thread: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=506835

            Target shot @ 100yds, 5 shot group is 3/4".

My dad has one and it's great, I really like that rife. Very quality feeling, very accurate in both calibers, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.

I bought one last year. Also bought the .22WMR kit for it.Decided to break it in in .22LR.Very accurate with most ammo, didn't like Remington target.Liked it so much in .22LR that I shot it for a while that way.

Finally got around to swapping it to .22WMR.Never had a rifle in this caliber before.Had 3 handguns in .22WMR and wasn't overly impressed.Shouldn't have waited so long to try it in a rifle.Accurate with all ammo tried so far.Under a 1/2 inch at 50 yards.

Still playing with it in .22WMR and enjoying it.Can't comment yet on .17HMR.Funny thing is,that's why I bought it,to get a .17HMR.

Just came back from a friends house about an hour ago. He had sent his 455 back to CZ because of accuracy issues. They sent two test targets, one with about an 1 1/4 group, the return and the other with a half inch group both shot at 50 meters, the replacement. They didn't think the rifle met up with their standards and sent him a NEW REPLACEMENT rifle. That's standing behind your products.

ok, its been a while, but I got the rifle as a gift. love it, it's just beautiful. My problem I have now is what scope to put on it. It has he 22lr and 17hmr. The scope is mounted on the receiver, so what do I get that will preform great on 17hmr but not be to much for 22lr

I'm really interested in this setup. I like the idea of being able to shoot all three calibers. Definitely want to shoot the .22 Mag, as well...
