    GSG5 110 round drum rebuild

I am making a holiday trip to some family in arizona and just ordered a 110 round rebuild kit drum. I was wondering has anybody assembled one of these before?
I will only be assembling in arizona and taking it apart before i come back home. Can anybody help me out? Thanks guys!

try AR15.com they have a huge section dedicated to the GSG-5. I do remember reading on there that ATI says not to disassemble it, which was the reason why I decided against getting one.

The second half of this page a guy details the process of disassembling and reassembling the drum. Sounds like a complete PITA

Why not ship it to Arizona and skimp on taking it apart? Unless you're going to bring it back in pieces so it stays in pieces (while in CA).

The directions in the box tell you how to take it apart to clean and how to put it back together. Its not hard.

Honestly, if you really are only going to be using it in Arizona, why not leave it with the family you are visiting with, that way you have no need to take it apart and reassemble it whenever you want to use it. Just seems easier that way to me.

I got the drum today and it looks like the carrier and the piece that goes in the mag well are disassembled, so you just put the piece on and screw 2 screws in. Well hopefully it works, wont know for a week
