Yes, this is the problem I see. The rings base not wide enough

i had the same type of clamp on my 10/22 scope, it wouldnt fit the normal rail, but the 10/22 rail has a thinner base that it did clamp to.

yes, it looks like you have the wrong rings, they also look like they are pretty high for the scope that you got.

the best thing that ive found to do is bring your gun and scope to your local gun shop and have them get you the right rings for your gun and scope combo.

you have a 1 inch tube scope, nice and common so rings are easy to get.
try opticsplanet and look for weaver or picatinny

Ok guys. I think I'll take the scope and gun to the gunshop and get some advise there.

I'm still trying to figure out what kind of rings I got with the scope (meaning what Style) and what I should have gotten?

You got tip-off rings for a dovetail on a "standard" rimfire rifle.

You need picatinny rings(that match the diameter of the scope tube, most likely 1" in your case). The description for the scope you purchased does not indicate what type of rings it comes with, so it likely came with the correct ones but you just need something different(picatinny mount rings).
