Anybody have a Kel Tec RMR-30?

Cant find them anywhere, wonder how long stores will be sold out...

Less than 400 dollars, shoots .22wmr out of a 16.1 inch barrel (squirrels be afraid)

.22wmr is cheap enough to shoot just about all day, if this thing holds up as well as my M&P 15-22 it is well worth the 400 bux!

Problems I forsee... OAL is 29" [get longer barrel or add barrel break]
Stock pinning, or mounting a fixed stock (pic below shows fixed stock)

Since it is a rimfire rifle you don't need to worry about the 30 inch OAL. That only applies to semi-auto CENTERFIRE rifles. You just need to make sure it is at least 26 inches long with the stock collapsed.

      I love learning new things!

Well while I have the rimfire crowd here I have another question.
Many ammo manufactures for .22wmr give an fps value, any idea on what barrel length this was tested in?

22wmr maintains .380 ballistics, penetration and expansion characteristics.
        22 WMR 33 grain accutip.
        velocity: muzzle 2000, 50yd 1730, 100 yd 1495, 150 yd 1292, 200yd 1138
        energy muzzle 293 ft lb, 50 yd 219 ft lb, 100yd 164 ft lb, 150yd 122 ft lb, 200 95 ft lb.
        bullet path muzzle -1.5", 50 yd +0.7", 100 yd 0, 150 yd -4.6" 200 yd -14.5"

It would be my choice as a LTC pistol and a fun rifle.

          I comparing a .22mag to a 5.7 standered civvy round.

Are they not close to performance??

              .22 wmr = .380 ballistics eh?

I've always fancied the idea of LTCing an AMT Automag II, that gun is sleek and deadly.

The RMR-30 is awfully sexy also.

Wow, that's cool. Didn't know they had this out.

If they ever let us go open season on the pidgeons in the hangar......

So if it operates the same way as the PMR-30, anybody shoot/own one of those?

I love my M&P 15-22 but would also love something with a bit more power, if this gun was 5.56 I would be banging down the doors of Kel Tec trying to buy one. .22wmr is a fair compromise, cant hunt anything edible with it but can plink away for fun all day long!
