On a recent trip to Home Depot, I saw boxes of .22 blanks used for setting anchors in concrete. The boxes say to not use these blanks in firearms. Does anyone have any reason why? Is there a technical reason or merely a marketing or liability concern?

Liability. Those are high power loads. If a piece of crimped shell casing came out during firing from a regular firearm, it would be at high velocity. My 2 cents.Comment

I have used them just for fun. They will work just fine but they don't do much more than make noise. They will not cycle the action of a semi.Kevin
