    Evil Black 10-22

In 1991 I was at an antique auction and bought a "box lot" of miscellaneous stuff, for about $25.00. In the box were several AR-15 30 round mags. I didn't have an AR (and still don't), but kept them anyway.

I've got 30 round mags for my 10-22, so I modified 2 of the AR mags (that were in bad shape) to hold this:

I modified it by taking out the innards and base and then using a piece of wood and pounding it into the mag, which stretched it out so I could fit the 10-22 mag inside.

Then I used Wonderflex, a material I make holsters out of, to cover the bottom and a collar to cover the upper part of the AR mag.

Then I made some Wonderflex sleeves for some 10 round Butler Creek mags and for some 30 round Eagle mags.

The mags I put into the AR mags are a tight fit. The ones in the sleeves can be secured with velcro type material, double sided tape, but I used E-6000 glue.

The first time I took these to the range, there were a few Holy S**t comments.

I hope you didn't permanently ruin those mags, would be awesome to have them if you do get an AR!

The two that I used were already ruined, as they had been damaged and the springs would stick where the mags had been dented.
I have more that are near perfect, but this is CA and I can't sell them or give them away. If I do get an AR, I'll have pre-ban 30 rounders.

You can legally repair broken regular cap magazines by buying a rebuild kit and keep one old part and replace all the other parts (even the body)
